Servent Ltd is committed to preventing acts of modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring within its business and supply chain.

We have a flat company structure that fosters an open, collaborative and enjoyable environment to work in for all staff. We want all our staff to feel confident that they can expose wrongdoing without any risk to themselves.

Our recruitment and people management processes are designed to ensure that all prospective employees are legally entitled to work in the UK and to safeguard employees from any abuse or coercion.

Structure of the organisation

Servent Ltd is a Microsoft Solutions Partner in the Information Technology sector. In order to provide our services, we work with a range of suppliers, primarily within the United Kingdom

Policies

Within our business, we have in place a range of operational policies to complement our approach to preventing acts of modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring. This includes an Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy; a Whistleblowing policy; and an Equality Policy. Risk and compliance measures are embedded within our organisation.

We endeavour to make sure our suppliers are aware of our policies, and request that they adhere to the same standards and practices where appropriate.

Due diligence

As part of our efforts to monitor and reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring within our supply chains, we have the following due diligence procedures:

Our procedures are designed to:

·       establish and assess areas of potential risk in our business and supply chains;

·       monitor potential risk areas in our business and supply chains;

·       reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our business and supply chains; and

·       provide adequate protection for whistleblowers.

Risk management

While we do not primarily operate in high-risk sectors or locations, we regularly evaluate the nature and extent of its exposure to the risk of modern slavery occurring in our supply chain and will investigate any potential risks as appropriate.

We do not tolerate slavery and human trafficking within our supply chains.

Training

We invest in educating our staff to recognise the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. Through our training programmes, employees are encouraged to identify and report any potential breaches of our anti-slavery and human trafficking policy.

Employees are taught the benefits of stringent measures to tackle slavery and human trafficking, as well as the consequences of failing to eradicate slavery and human trafficking from our business and supply chains.

Further actions

We will continue to embed the principles through:

·       providing awareness training to staff on the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and informing them of the appropriate action to take if they suspect a case of slavery or human trafficking

·       ensuring staff involved in procurement activity are aware of and follow modern slavery procurement guidance on GOV.UK

·       continuing to take action to embed a zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery

·       ensuring that staff involved in buying or procurement and the recruitment and deployment of workers receive training on modern slavery and ethical employment practices

This statement is made in accordance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. This statement will be reviewed and updated every year. 

This statement has been approved by Des McGuire, Director, for the financial year ending 2024.
